How To Redirect Visitors FROM YourOldDomain.com TO YourNewDomain.com
In the video below, you will learn how to quickly set up a domain redirect in Cloudflare! Whether you’ve moved your site to a new domain or you are managing expired sites, this step-by-step guide will show you how to create a 301 redirect that automatically sends anyone who enters your old domain in their browser to the new domain of your choice. Perfect for website owners and developers looking to ensure a seamless transition from an old site to a new site!
In the video, Zero2Webmaster Founder Dr. Kerry Kriger creates a redirect to send visitors from an out of use domain name to his new site LoomInUs (where you can find beautiful handcrafted clothing and art from around the world).
You may not use Cloudflare, but the concept remains the same for all domain registrars…you will simply need to log in, find the site you wish to redirect FROM, and enter the redirection info with details on the domain URL you need visitors redirected TO.

0:01 Hello, I am Zero2Webmaster founder Dr. Kerry Kriger, and I’m going to show you how to set up a redirect.
0:24 Why would you need a redirect? Let’s say you have a new domain, like newdomain.com—that’s what we’re going to use as an example. This tutorial is specifically for domains registered with Cloudflare.
0:36 Right here, I have a domain, ancientkingdom.art. I don’t need it anymore because I bought a better domain or one that I prefer. Since it’s not going to be used, it will eventually expire. Let’s use that as our example.
0:41 We’re just going to click on it, then go to Rules in the left sidebar.
0:52 Now, we’re going to set up a redirect. Click Create a Rule, and name it something like Redirect to the New Site.
1:08 For Incoming Requests, apply the rule to all requests. Then, set URL Redirect to Static.
1:24 There’s a default path, /contacts, but let’s change it to our new domain URL, where we want people redirected to.
1:35 The idea is simple: if anyone visits the old site, they’ll be redirected to the new one. Keep it as a 301 permanent redirect, then click Deploy.
1:47 Now, let’s test it.
2:00 I’ll go to ancientkingdom.art and see if the redirect works.
2:15 And… it worked! That was easy.
2:24 If you’re watching this, you’re the first to see my brand-new site, LoomInUs.

Good luck with your redirects!
