This guide shows you how to quickly add an image gallery to a WordPress post using pre-made templates from the design library.
Prerequisites
- Images already uploaded to your WordPress media library
- Access to the design library templates
Steps
1. Access the Design Library
- Position your cursor where you want the gallery to appear in your post
- Press Return to create a new line
- Click on the Design Library
- Navigate to the Image Galleries section
2. Select a Template
Choose from available gallery templates:
- Gallery without heading
- Gallery with heading
Select the template that fits your needs.
3. Add Your Images
- Click on the placeholder images in the template
- Delete the template images
- Click Add to Gallery
- Your media library will open
- Select multiple images by clicking the first image, then shift-clicking the last image you want
- Click to add all selected images to the gallery
4. Customize Your Gallery
Reorder Images: Drag and drop images into your preferred sequence
Display Options:
- Tile layout
- Masonry grid
- 2×2 grid
- Set number of rows
Click Behavior:
- Pop-open slideshow
- Link to different pages
- Other custom actions
Styling:
- Set to full width if desired
- Change background colors
- Adjust other visual settings
5. Save and Preview
- Click Update Gallery
- Save your post
- Refresh the page to see your live gallery
Your image gallery is now live and interactive on your WordPress site.
